Welcome! LIEPITZ MEMORIALS is designed to help you make decisions about the memorial to honor your family member. Our purpose is to provide excellent quality granite products and services. We are a family business which was established in 1955 by William and Elsie Liepitz in the Milaca – Princeton – Pease, Minnesota area. The tradition has continued with Elsie Liepitz serving the area and in 2009 Charlotte Liepitz Meinz joined the business. We serve the needs of customers in Mille Lacs and Sherburne counties of central Minnesota. The stones we sell are produced with outstanding craftsmanship.
We offer granite monuments and markers which are available in several forms. As you consider your options for the one you choose, we will want to consider the cemetery regulations that affect your decision.
FLAT MARKERS are ground level and could be for a SINGLE person or a DOUBLE, companion marker which would include two names. They often are set with a cement border.
BEVEL MARKERS are set above the ground and have a slope toward the front.
SLANT MARKERS have a steeper slope than a bevel, and can be larger and may be placed on a granite base.
UPRIGHT MONUMENTS are the most versatile type, and can be any shape or size from simple to ornate sculptures.
BENCHES can provide a memorial and may be placed at a location you choose.
Granite colors come from different elements and minerals in the makeup of the rock which varies from where they are quarried. The true color comes out when it is polished to a high finish. Clients have a wide variety of choices from the granite available to us. Granite colors also can be chosen to match granite already in a family plot if desired.
We are a custom business so to design your monument you may choose from a variety of SHAPES from the basic rectangle to elegant serpentine tops to custom shapes where the options are endless. The SIZE will be based on your choices for the panels or designs and the amount of information you want on the stone. You will choose which areas of the stone you want to be polished.
Once you have made the basic decisions you will choose a font for LETTERING the stone and decide on DESIGNS for the CARVINGS to personalize the stone. We can help you design a stone that is an exact duplication to match another stone.
Completed stones will be delivered and set in the cemetery and placed with a cement border or on cement according to the cemetery rules. The cement prevents damage to your stone.
Additional services include cemetery lettering and final dating of stones with fonts that match the stone already placed in a cemetery. We can help if existing stones are in need of cleaning, or if an existing stone is in need of a foundation or border.
